Sebastian Ribeiro Albuquerque Wendt studied clarinet and composition at the HMTM Hannover from 2009-2014. He received further influences in private lessons with Claudio Puntin, David Krakauer and Michael Riessler. Since 2016 he studies electronic and instrumental composition at the Folkwang UdK Essen with Günter Steinke and Michael Edwards.

Sebastian Wendt is (bass) clarinetist in the ensemble ur.werk, ensemble megaphone, in the 'Orchester im Treppenhaus‘, the free-jazz trio 'Schwarmintelligenz' and 5-time winner of the composer slam. In early 2018 he founded the CRISPR.kollektiv.

In addition to these projects, he worked with the following artists and ensembles: KLANK, Sara Maria Sun, Julia Mihàly, Irene Kepl, Frank Gratkowski, Udo Moll, Bernd Konrad, Nicola Hein, Peter Rundel, Rupert Huber, Stefan Asbury, Daria Androvska, Helmut Lachenmann, Manos Tsangaris, Vinko Globokar, Gerald Eckert, Eckart Beinke, Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Fabio Nieder, Das Neue Ensemble Hannover, Ensemble Mosaik, Oh Ton Ensemble, Ensemble reflexion k, Ensemble New Babylon, Ensemble Schwerpunkt, Ensemble S 201 and others.

With these ensembles or as a soloist he appeared at the following festivals / venues: Beethovenfest Bonn, Podium Festival Esslingen, ClassicalNext Rotterdam, Fusion Festival, Berghain Berlin, Arcana Festival Graz, State Opera Hannover, Festival Grafenegg Castle, NOW! -Festival Essen, Evimus Festival Saarbrücken , Bitef Theater Belgrade, NDR, SWR and the BR.

In 2015/16 he wrote the music for the music theater "Im System", which was performed by Club XL of the Staatsoper Hannover and received a 4 month composition scholarship of the state of Lower Saxony.

Since 2016-2018 he was technical director of the Musik21-Festival Niedersachen. In recent years he has received commissions for the Hannover Accordion Festival, basisZwei-Festival Hannover and the 'Zeche Carl', as well as the Ensemble CRUSH.

Composition-educational among others he works together with the State Opera Hannover, the Lower Saxony Music Festival, the Philharmonie Essen and the North German Junior Academy, as well as the Art School Schweina and the Dharma Center Möhra.
